The Latest Smart Upgrades for the 3-Series Petrol Jetter

We’re pleased to unveil significant upgrades to our popular 3-Series petrol jetter. Engineered for enhanced performance, efficiency, and reliability, the latest iteration incorporates advanced technology and design improvements to optimise operational effectiveness.
First launched in 2019, the 3-Series was one of the industry's first high-performance petrol jetters. It has gone on to become one of the company's best-selling machines, with a growing number of contractors across the UK transitioning from traditional diesel-powered units.
Power Meets Efficiency: The New Vanguard 37HP EFI Engine

At the core of the new 3-Series is the updated Vanguard 37HP EFI engine. This advanced V-Twin engine incorporates a closed-loop Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system. This technology ensures smoother starts, better fuel consumption, and up to 25% greater efficiency compared to conventional carbureted engines.
Andy Guest Production Supervisor, Jason Baker, has played a key role in the development of the upgraded machine. “The latest Vanguard engine makes the 3-Series more cost-effective to operate,” he explains. “With better fuel economy, remote start capabilities, electronic throttle control, and improved diagnostics, operators can expect a smarter, more reliable jetter.”
The EFI system utilises an Engine Control Module (ECM) to continuously monitor and adjust engine performance, fine-tuning fuel and spark delivery in real-time. This results in improved starting across all temperatures, faster load response, and reduced fuel consumption.
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system ensures consistent power output by instantly adapting to changes in load. A flywheel speed sensor detects fluctuations in engine RPM and adjusts the throttle body accordingly, maintaining optimal engine speed regardless of operational conditions.
Smart Upgrades for Maximum Reliability

Beyond the engine, the technicians at Andy Guest have introduced several enhancements to improve the overall functionality and durability of the 3-Series. Jason Baker explains: “We’ve been working with an automation and control company to develop a simplified wiring loom for the 3-Series. The new design significantly reduces the number of connectors, minimising potential faults, streamlining troubleshooting, and improving integration with the jetter control panel.”
“We’ve also upgraded the control panel to include an engine fault indicator and introduced a new diagnostic input, giving the servicing team greater insight into the machine’s performance. These enhancements allow them to identify and resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.”
